Teenagers, juveniles
The old call them,
Buddies, homies
Their now-names
Known only by them
Talk about creation
New slang daily
How? They do it by storm.
They are the source of all fashion savvy.
My dear critics, don’t be bigots
From strange hairdos, heavy makeup
Down to avant-garde clothing
From the North Pole to the South Pole
All the world spread
It is the dot-com-era and so they are cool
But how? They do it by storm.
Teens prefer staring at a screen
To playing in the field
The thumbs are the busiest
Nanti* social media or texting
Alas! Laziness is born
Hanging out with friends – their only, ‘plot’;
Being teen – no worries, being old – can’t imagine
How? It is only by storm.
Their animosity for a dusk-to-dawn curfew
Compared to that of man for death
Their right to be independent, if denied
Forms a water-to-acid reaction
Their rebelliousness knows no clutch
Sexual immorality more often than food
Is it still by storm?
Every age group has its pluses and minuses.
