About

Kacumu is a personal blog, and more. It is where I write what I would write if I wrote for newspapers, magazines, or other regular periodicals. It is also where and why I call myself a writer. Much is to say, which is why Kacumu carries two weekly columns, and one monthly one.

But beyond writing, Kacumu is how I serve what I understand to be one of my roles in society. I am an artist, and here I create written art. I share what I think, know, and believe in. I engage civically as a citizen and a lawyer. And I also write from a place of faith, fellowship, and discipleship as a Christian.

Kacumu (Runyankore-Rukiga for pen), symbolises not only literary writing, but also the role of my education, reflection, and expression in bettering my people and society. It is both a tool and a voice.

Kacumu is Ugandan and panAfrican. A society observer, thinker and storyteller/essayist. Kacumu is a loose pen indeed; I write but only for him. Therefore, if you must be mad at him, at least forgive me. Otherwise, enjoy the tales of Kacumu!
